Sub-Genres Top The Charts
The last chart we brought you some two weeks ago was dominated by the punk rock genre and to some degree still is. Green Day's Saviors continues to produce listeners, with track number three off the album "Bobby Sox" dipping to number two overall, down from its top spot.

Linkin Park's "The Emptiness Machine" holds strong at number six, but is also trending down simply due to the nature of the charts.
However, there has been some movement.
No particular sub-genre is favored, but instead we are seeing quite a diverse sound across our top seven.
Almost Monday, an Indie Pop group out of San Diego, CA now takes the top spot in our music charts this week.
Mixed Alternative On The Charts
Mentioned in our previous article, Almost Monday has consistently charted with their popular track "Can't Slow Down", from their 2024 album DIVE.
Alongside that track, others such as "Detroit", "Neverender" and, as previously mentioned, "The Emptiness Machine" are recurring songs from January 13th's list.
The new arrivals include several different sub-genres, specifically "Sailor Song" from Gigi Perez, an indie folk rock artist with a touch of EDM in her music. The popular tune was released in late July last year and has held strong through the latter part of 2024 and the first month of the new year.

"So Cold" is a track from Balu Brigada, who employs more of an indie/groove pop sound. Originally released as a single in early June of 2024, the song was later added to a compilation titled BALU in August where it was placed as the lead-off, alongside five other titles.
As usual, these tracks are available on Spotify and other streaming platforms with the links above as well as your home for Today's Hit Alternative and the Listen Live feature on our website.
